I’ve spent 25 years as a psychic medium and soul coach, and I still get surprised by how spirit shows up. Last night, as I was drifting off to sleep, I got very clearly nudged toward a reframe. Not a full pivot. Just a refocus. And when I woke up, it was confirmed: this month’s Cosmic Current needed to centre on money.

Here’s why that matters. Money and joy aren’t separate conversations. They’re the same conversation.

Why Money Mindset Coaches Make This So Much Harder Than It Needs to Be

Joy is the vibration that creates harmony. Harmony creates peace. And it’s from that peaceful, high-vibe place that we actually have the capacity to manifest — money included.

The manifesting coaches and money mindset coaches love to complicate this. Layers of belief work, tracking sheets, affirmation scripts. And look, some of that has its place. But underneath all of it is something much simpler: how are you receiving joy today?

That question is the whole practice. I’ve been asking myself it every morning for the last five days as part of what I’m calling my Joygasm Project — hand over heart, first thing, before anything else. Some days the answer is small. Today it was showing up to do this livestream, because that’s what spirit was guiding me toward.

If you’re in a job or a business rhythm that isn’t giving you joy right now, this is your invitation to ask the question anyway. The answer might eventually point you somewhere new. But it starts with asking.

From Shifting Sand to Solid Ground

July had a real “dusting off your coat” energy to it, didn’t it? New projects pulled out of the cupboard. Pivots. That sense of standing on shifting sand while you figured out what needed refocusing.

August is different. We’re moving onto solid ground — and the invitation is to trust it. Trust that you’re guiding yourself forward from intuition, from your connection to the divine, and that this is simply how your purpose needs to express itself right now.

That solid ground is the foundation everything else this month gets built on.

Your Week-by-Week Money Flow for August

I pulled these cards from the Whispers of Lord Ganesha deck by Angela Hartfield — one of my favourites, and one that’s followed me since I first discovered it on a trip to Bali.

Week One: Concentration — Where Is Your Ego Holding You Back?

There’s a lot of planning energy here around your money flow and what you’re doing in your business to create it. But watch for the small stuff getting in the way — specifically, your ego.

Not ego in the arrogant sense. Ego as in humbleness and doubt. Ask yourself honestly: where is your humility actually working against you this week? Where are you holding back when you could be stepping forward?

Week Two: Splendour (Reversed) — Open Yourself to Magnificence

This card landed in reverse, which tells me there’s a block here. The invitation is to ask a question most of us skip entirely when we’re chasing a goal: how magnificent can this actually be?

We set the goal, we do the doing, and we forget to ask how magical the process — and the outcome — could feel. There’s also a thread of recognition here: being seen and understood for the work you’re doing, in a new way. Because it’s reversed, expect this week to feel a little quieter. That’s not a problem to fix. It’s simply where the work is.

Week Three: Empowerment — You Are the Case Study

Solar plexus energy, and a strong sense of “the pathway is unfolding exactly as it needs to.” New levels of empowerment come in here, rooted in your connection to self.

If you’re a soulpreneur who serves others, remember: you are the example. People are watching how you live and lead, and that’s genuinely part of your attraction point. Settle into being seen that way.

Week Four: Wholeness — This Is Where Momentum Begins

Heart chakra energy — the same green that shows up in the Healer Wealthcode. This feels like the most significant week of the month, because it’s the point everything else has been building toward. This is where the real momentum starts. Where you begin to see actual shifts in your money flow.

If you’ve got new goals, a new offer, or new focus taking shape, this is the week it starts to click into place.

The Honest Money Flow Forecast

Expect some fluctuation this month — a bit of an up-and-down, particularly through week two if you haven’t yet opened yourself to that sense of splendour and magnificence. The structure to fully receive the flow of energy, joy, and money isn’t quite there yet at the start of the month. But it will be, by the second half of August.

Don’t let your humbleness hold you back. Don’t let your doubt hold you back.

That’s the line I keep coming back to from this reading, and it’s worth sitting with all month.

In the spiritual journey of awakening and embracing the Sacred Feminine, we often come across guides in the form of animals—beings that carry deep wisdom and medicine to support us. This week, Spirit has guided me to the medicine of the Raccoon, and I feel called to share this with you because Raccoon has shown me a profound lesson that is relevant to many of us: the ability to give to others unconditionally and trust that the Universe will provide as it chooses.

Raccoon teaches you how to open your heart to giving without expecting anything in return, while at the same time learning to trust that your own needs will be met in ways that you may not yet understand. This is especially important for those who feel spiritually depleted, always giving but never receiving in a way that nourishes their soul. Many of us struggle with this balance—how to serve, help, and give to others without depleting our own energy.

For women walking the path of the Sacred Feminine, this struggle often takes the form of overgiving, caring for others to the point of exhaustion, or becoming resentful because the reciprocity we crave doesn’t seem to come. This has been something I have struggled with not just in my business as a psychic medium soul coach, but also in my personal relationships.

What if, however the wisdom you need isn’t about receiving from the person you give to, but from the Universe itself?

A common theme for my clients—women deeply aligned with their spiritual gifts—is feeling energetically drained because they are constantly pouring from their cup without refilling it. Maybe you’ve experienced this, I know I have. You give to your family, your friends, your clients, or even strangers, and at the end of the day, you feel empty. You ask yourself, “Who is here to give to me? Who is supporting my journey?”

You might even start to feel bitterness creeping in because, despite all your efforts, it feels like the love and support you offer is never returned. This is where many Sacred Feminine souls get stuck—caught in a cycle of overgiving while neglecting their own needs. It becomes a kind of martyrdom that diminishes your radiance and blocks you from receiving the true abundance and nourishment that the Universe wants to offer you.

This is where Raccoon steps in as a powerful ally.

Raccoon Medicine: Giving Without Attachment

Raccoon carries the energy of resourcefulness, adaptability, and community service. Often misunderstood or seen as a scavenger, Raccoon’s medicine is far more profound. It embodies the ability to give without attachment to the outcome, to share your energy and gifts with the world while trusting that your own needs will be met—often in unexpected and surprising ways.

This week, Raccoon has stepped in to walk with me to unfold the capability of unconditional giving. He showed me that we often place invisible strings on the energy we give out. Even when we aren’t consciously aware of it, there’s a part of us that expects something in return—whether it’s validation, love, appreciation, or material abundance. Raccoon’s lesson is to untangle these strings and to allow your energy to flow freely, without expectation. The key here is that when you give from a place of unconditional love, the Universe takes notice and responds.

But it doesn’t respond in the ways we might predict or expect. Sometimes we look for immediate reciprocity from the person we gave to, but the Universe is much bigger than that. Raccoon reminds us that the Universe has its own timing and methods of repaying your kindness, often through different channels—an unexpected opportunity, a serendipitous meeting, or a burst of creativity that propels you forward. The magic lies in releasing control and trusting that the Universe will serve you in the way that does meet your needs and best supports your soul’s growth.

Working with Raccoon’s Wisdom

If you feel drawn to this message, perhaps Raccoon is calling to you as well. His medicine may be exactly what you need to heal the imbalances in your energy exchange and to learn how to give from a place of abundance rather than depletion.

Here’s a simple way you can begin to work with Raccoon spiritually:

1. Set an Intention: Begin by calling in the energy of Raccoon. You can say something like, “Raccoon, I call on your wisdom and medicine to guide me in learning how to give unconditionally and to trust that my needs will be met in divine timing.”

2. Meditation or Journeying: Sit in a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed. Close your eyes and visualize yourself in a forest at dusk, a place where Raccoon is comfortable and thrives. Imagine Raccoon approaching you, its energy soft yet purposeful. Allow Raccoon to show you where you are attaching strings to your giving. 3. Offer Without Expectation: Over the next few days, practice giving without expecting anything in return. This can be as simple as offering a kind word to a stranger or lending a hand to a friend. Pay attention to how it feels when you release your attachment to the outcome.

4. Trust in the Flow: Each time you feel yourself wanting something in return, remind yourself that the Universe is always watching and always listening. You will receive, but it may not come in the form you expect. Trust that abundance will flow to you in the way that best serves your soul.

5. Gratitude for Unexpected Gifts: As you work with Raccoon, make a conscious effort to recognize when the Universe delivers in unexpected ways. Keep a journal to record the moments where you receive what you need in surprising forms and offer gratitude for these gifts.

Embrace the Wisdom of Raccoon

Raccoon is a teacher of balance, adaptability, and learning to trust that your needs will be met without demanding from others. For women in tune with the Sacred Feminine, this lesson is essential. It reminds us that while you are here to serve and help others, your own nourishment comes from a deeper, more universal source.

By working with Raccoon’s medicine, you can learn how to release the need for immediate reciprocity and trust in the abundance that flows from the Universe when you give freely and with love. This shift allows you to step out of depletion and into a space of empowerment, where your energy flows freely and the support you need comes in divine and often unexpected ways.

You’ve done the courses. You’ve followed the system. You’ve ticked the boxes on the 60-point list that promised you’d be a millionaire if you just followed it exactly.

And you’re still here. Wondering what you’re doing wrong.

Here’s what Faith Christiansen — bestselling author, business strategist and founder of the Business Builders Society — said to me this week that I want you to really hear:

The gurus sold you a system. What they actually did was experiment their way to the top.

That’s not a small distinction. That’s everything.

The 60-Point List Problem

Faith has worked with solopreneurs for years and she sees the same pattern repeatedly — people investing in course after course, list after list, only to find themselves more overwhelmed and less consistent than before they started.

“The simpler it is to execute, the more likely you are to execute. And when you actually execute and can continue to execute because you’re not overwhelmed with a 60-point list — guess what happens?”

The answer isn’t more strategy. It isn’t a better funnel or a bigger list or a more compelling offer.

It’s execution. Consistent, sustainable, simple execution.

And you can only sustain what you actually enjoy.

This landed hard for me personally. I’ve spent years pushing myself through strategies and platforms that felt completely out of alignment — not because I was lazy or uncommitted, but because I was trying to follow someone else’s system in a body and a soul that needed something different.

The Anti-Guru Truth About Testing

So if there’s no one system, no one way — how do you actually find what works?

You test. In Faith’s world, that means committing to a minimum number of repetitions before you decide something works or doesn’t. Thirty days. Ninety days. Enough time to get real data rather than a knee-jerk reaction.

She shared her own example — she tested premiering her YouTube videos live at a set time every week. Her average view time jumped from two to three minutes to eight to ten minutes. It worked beautifully. She also hated every second of the four hours of editing required to make it happen.

So she quit. Deliberately. With data. And found a new path.

“It’s not that serious. It’s not a failure. It’s all wins and learns.”

For soulpreneurs — and I include myself absolutely in this — we have a tendency to either follow guidance and ignore data entirely, or get so lost in data that we lose our inner voice. Faith’s framework offers a third way. Test it. Feel it. Then decide.

You Don’t Own Your Audience. Here’s What You Do Own.

This is the piece of the conversation I want every soulpreneur who has spent years building on social media to hear.

Every follower on Instagram, every connection on Facebook — you’re renting that relationship. The platform owns the infrastructure. You have no guarantee of access tomorrow. Faith mentioned a client who had over 13,000 followers and a 10,000-person email list. When her accounts were hacked and everything was lost, only 300 people followed her to start again.

300 out of 13,000.

That’s not a rare horror story. That’s an industry-wide reality that most of us haven’t fully reckoned with.

“We are renting. And we’re renting for an indiscriminate amount of time.”

So what do you own? What can you take with you regardless of what any platform decides to do?

Your email list — when it’s truly yours and not trapped inside a platform that controls access to it. Your content in formats you can move and repurpose. Your relationships — the ones with actual depth, not just follower numbers. And increasingly, your AI tools — Faith uses Claude as her backup, downloading assets, creating portable files, building things she can move if she needs to.

This is why Substack feels so different from other platforms. When someone subscribes here, I get their email address. That’s an owned relationship in a way that Instagram followers simply aren’t.

Relationships Outlast Every Platform

This is the thread that ran through the entire conversation and the one I keep coming back to.

Most business coaching tells you to scale, automate, funnel. Get more eyeballs. More followers. More reach.

But Faith’s question is — what’s the depth behind the width?

“You can have more followers. But if you don’t have a relationship with any of those people, they’re not going to follow you and they’re not going to buy from you.”

Her framework isn’t about cold outreach or pitch slapping people in the DMs. It’s about genuine curiosity. Engaging with someone’s post. Sharing something of theirs with a real comment. Building the kind of connection that makes someone think of you when a friend mentions they need exactly what you offer.

“I have a person on Instagram who needs me like crazy. But I know she’s not ready. I’ve never sold to her. She’s purchased a couple of things. She’s referred me to clients that ended up high ticket.”

That’s relationship-first selling. And it’s not a strategy — it’s a way of being in business that happens to generate results.

For soulpreneurs, this is our natural home. We’ve always known that the work sells itself when the relationship is right. The mistake we’ve been making is letting the platforms convince us to abandon that knowing in favour of their algorithm.

Leading Yourself on the Hard Days

This was the piece of the conversation I wasn’t expecting to move me as much as it did.

Faith talked about what she calls a mind movie — a short video you create of yourself in the future you’re building toward, set to music that emotionally connects you to your why. Not a vision board you stop seeing after two weeks. Not an affirmation you can’t make yourself believe. An actual immersive experience you can access in seconds on a hard day.

“All of our goals at the end of the day are about an emotion that we want to feel. And if we can feel that emotion before it happens as if it’s already done — we connect to it and we move the timeline of it coming to us a lot faster.”

That’s not just business strategy. That’s manifestation intelligence. And it’s precisely the kind of thing that soulpreneurs understand at a soul level but often fail to apply practically to their business journey.

On the hard days — when someone’s been unkind on your post, when the episode didn’t get the views you hoped, when the launch was quiet — you need something that pulls you back to your why in 60 seconds. Not a 20-minute meditation you can’t sustain. Something real and immediate and emotionally true.

The One Thing to Do Differently This Week

If you’ve been following someone else’s system and it’s not working — Faith’s advice is simple.

Sit down with a pen and paper and honestly assess what you’re actually doing versus what you think you’re doing. Is the thing not working because the strategy is wrong, or because you’re not fully executing it? Do you actually enjoy it enough to sustain it? Have you given it enough repetitions to know?

And if the honest answer is that you don’t love it — test something else. Without drama. Without calling it failure.

“It’s all wins and learns.”

One more thing she said that I want to leave you with — about pricing, about confidence, about where to start:

“You do not have to charge high ticket prices if you don’t have the confidence to charge high ticket prices. Start with something that feels comfortable. A little bit of a stretch — but not a hurl.”

That landed for a lot of reasons I won’t go into here. But if it landed for you too — you know what to do.

The energy of the week: Full Moon in Aquarius

We’ve got a Full Moon in Aquarius building toward us this Thursday, and I’m feeling it start to shift in as early as Wednesday. There’s a social ebb to this one — your connections matter this week, but more importantly, the energy you bring to those connections matters. That’s the thing to watch.

Card one: Nightingale Spirit — Love Is All Around

Nightingale showed up for voice and communication. This is a week to speak up, not hold back — express your needs, share your thoughts, in your personal relationships and, if you’re a soulpreneur like me, in your relationship with your online world too. Speaking your truth this week is actually what deepens connection, not what risks it. Expect a bit of an ebb and flow through the week rather than a straight line — that’s normal, not a warning sign.

Card two: Starfish Spirit — Open to Infinite Possibility

I pulled this one specifically around money energy, because to me money is a relationship, not just a mindset. Around the middle of the week — Tuesday night into Wednesday for me, adjust for your own timezone — fresh ideas are going to drop in. But here’s the thing: these ideas are arriving to germinate, not to be actioned immediately. We can’t heal our money relationship from the same level of consciousness that created the issue in the first place — we have to meet it from the creative dimension, that soul-level space where our money spirit exists before it filters down into human circumstance. So if an idea lands this week, let it sit. Give it a couple of weeks. I’m feeling the second half of August is when the real forward movement kicks in.

Card three: Giraffe Spirit — See the Big Picture

This one landed for a viewer, and it’s too good not to share. Giraffe is about seeing from spirit, not from within your human circumstances — my equivalent is eagle energy. I believe the spiritual space has taught us to connect to spirit far more than it’s taught us to be the spirit we already are. If you can step into that vantage point, entanglements start to unravel — I’m sensing three: one in business, a couple in life — and solutions you’ve been asking for start to reveal themselves. But it has to come from that divine part of you, not the loop you’ve been standing in. If you notice yourself recycling the same pattern, that’s the sign. The Full Moon is your doorway — hand it over, ask spirit to move you into that space.

This week, in short:

1. Use your voice. Communicate and express with real understanding — especially in your online relationships.

2. Let the money ideas germinate. They’re not for actioning yet.

3. Step into the spirit-perspective, not the human-circumstance one, and watch what unravels.

There’s a missing half to the spiritual story most of us have been taught. And once you see it, you understand exactly why so many intuitive women are exhausted, second-guessing themselves, and doing everything “right” — while their income still doesn’t reflect the depth of what they carry.

The Question I Ask Before I Even Get Out of Bed

Jill asked me what the single biggest thing is that any of us can do to shift how things are going. My answer is something I've taught for years now — because it's still the simplest, most direct practice I know.

Every morning, before I move, I put my hand over my heart and ask one question: “How does Spirit need to move through me today?”

Then I just go with the first thought, feeling or impression that comes. Some mornings it’s instant. Some mornings it takes a minute to land.

Over years of doing this, it’s built something I didn’t expect: a direct, ongoing dialogue with my higher self. It’s the simplest practice I have — and it’s the one I’d hand to anyone first.

The Half of the Story Nobody Teaches

Here’s the piece I unpacked with Jill that I think matters most.

We’ve all heard the phrase “we are spiritual beings having a human experience.” But most of us were taught to work it from the human side — trying to reach up toward the spirit world, raise our vibration, work our way toward connection.

What if that’s backwards?

I’ve come to understand it differently: we are spirit first. Not something to reach for — something we already are, already connected to, already whole in. When I stopped trying to raise my vibration to “get to” the spirit world and started operating from the fact that I already am spirit, everything shifted. That’s the missing half.

“You’re already healed. You’re already whole. It’s our human circumstances that create the fractures — but if you come back to the fact that you’re spirit first, you heal through joy, not struggle.”

This isn’t semantics. It changes how you build a business, too.

Why So Many Psychic & Mediumship Businesses Feel the Same

One thing I said to Jill that I want to say again here: most of us in this industry are doing the same thing. Readings. Workshops. A sea of sameness.

That’s not a failure of effort. It’s because most of us have been taught to practice mediumship — but not to live it.

When you actually connect with the spirit you are (not just your human personality — your hobbies, your routines, your “who am I” as a person), a different purpose sits underneath your gifts. And that purpose is almost always rooted in your own life journey.

I lost my brother to suicide in my mid-20s. That loss was the catalyst for my entire spiritual awakening. It’s part of why I say to people now: however you’re meant to help others is usually something you had to survive first. You are the case study for your own work.

If You’ve Felt Stuck for Years

The Vision I Didn’t Understand

In 2017, I sat in the Colorado Rocky Mountains on a Vision Quest. What came to me wasn’t a whisper — it was a presence.

She stood as tall as the forest trees. Long red hair. A power that didn’t need to speak to be heard.

I didn’t know her name. I just knew she was my vision.

It was my guide Rusty — part Cherokee — and my friend Laura who later told me who I’d met: Brigid. Celtic goddess of fire, healing, divination, and — as I’ve come to understand her — the goddess of your Authentic Self.

I filed her away as a beautiful memory. I didn’t know she was waiting.

Brigid Came Back — And I Nearly Talked Myself Out of Listening

Fast forward to this July. Out of nowhere, I felt inspired to build a witch’s broom.

Here’s the thing — I don’t identify as a Witch or Pagan. So this felt a little strange, even to someone who’s lived by Spirit’s lead for over 30 years. But 30 years of practice teaches you one thing: when the inspiration is that specific, you follow it.

So I did. I gathered what I needed and made what I now know as a Besom.

At the same time, I’d chosen Visibility as this month’s focus inside my Sacred & Sassy Soulpreneurs® Rising Skool community. As I pulled the content together, I kept being guided toward one phrase: Healing the Witch Wound.

That’s when it clicked. Brigid hadn’t just visited me in 2017. She’d been overseeing this all along.

“She knows her place, and in doing so, is here to help me find mine.”

What the Witch Wound Actually Is

If you’re a psychic, medium, healer, or intuitive — you likely carry this, whether you’ve named it or not.

The Witch Wound is the ancestral fear of being persecuted for your gifts. It’s not superstition or drama — it’s historical memory. Healers, mystics and wise women were burned, drowned, and outlawed for exactly the gifts you now use to help people. In England, the Witchcraft Act of 1735 wasn’t even repealed until 1951 — meaning this isn’t ancient history. It’s within living memory of your grandparents’ generation.

That wound doesn’t always show up as fear of a bonfire. In your business, it shows up as:

• Hiding your gifts behind “safe” language

• Shrinking your visibility so you don’t stand out

• Undercharging, because charging fully feels like a target on your back

• A quiet, constant hum of “what if it’s not safe to be fully seen?”

You don’t need to have a dramatic past life memory for this to be true. It’s coded into the collective. And it’s exactly why so many gifted women stay small.

What Happened When I Did My Own Ritual

I built my Brigid Doll. I sat with her. I made my invocation.

What opened wasn’t gentle — but it was exactly what I needed. Strong. Illuminating. Transformative.

I see her clairvoyantly now — her eyes always watching, which she tells me represents Vision. Not the soft kind. The kind that sees everything and doesn’t need to question it.

She is forthright. Direct. She tells me plainly what’s needed — which, honestly, has been a relief. My Native American guides tend to say very little, letting me figure things out on my own. Brigid doesn’t work that way, and right now, I’m grateful for it.

She’s already moving me through something real: choosing Joy over overgiving. Letting go of putting everyone else first — including the people I serve in my business. Releasing the grip on controlling outcomes, financial or otherwise, and trusting my purpose instead.

I won’t pretend that’s easy. There’s resistance in me as I write this. But I know it’s the work.

We were handed a marketing playbook that was never built for us.

Post consistently. Batch your content. Show up on camera. Build your funnel. Grow your list.

And we tried. God, we tried. Because we want the business to work, because we want to reach the people we know we could help, because everyone says this was the way.

But here’s what that playbook quietly costs a psychic, a medium, a healer:

Every hour spent on content strategy is an hour not spent in Spirit. Every caption written for an algorithm is a sentence that didn’t come through as genuine channelling. Every polished reel is a moment the real medicine got filtered out before it reached anyone.

We became marketers. And our frequency dropped.

When Spirit said be consistent with serving yourself with joy I sat with the uncomfortable truth that followed.

Those things. The ones that feel like me.

And here’s what I understand now that I didn’t before: joy isn’t something you feel after the content performs well. Joy is the frequency you create from. And when a medium creates from joy — from genuine connection with Spirit, from the thing that actually lights them up — the content doesn’t just feel different.

It IS different. Because it’s coming from the same place the medicine comes from.

The content becomes the channel, not just a vehicle for it.

Your Joy Is Your Visibility Strategy

Before you plan another posting schedule. Before you batch another week of content. Before you push through another flat, heavy, CBF creative day —

Ask yourself honestly: what brings me joy in this work?

Not what should bring you joy. Not what the business needs. What actually, genuinely, lights something up in you when you do it.

For you it might be live connection. It might be writing. It might be pulling cards and letting Spirit speak through them. It might be making something with your hands and letting people witness that.

Whatever it is — that’s your content. That’s your visibility. That’s the version of you that people came here to find.

That’s not something a visibility strategy alone is going to fix.

But — and this is important — the energetic piece and the practical piece both have to be addressed. The soul-level shift creates the capacity. The strategy gives it somewhere to land.

You Are Your Unique Selling Proposition

One of the most powerful things Sarah said in our conversation was this — and I want you to sit with it:

“Lean into who you are as a human. Lean into who you are and the stories that you have to share. Really work on your messaging around your actual human experience — because that is your unique selling proposition.”

The messy, non-linear, “I’ve been on my knees telling the angels to f off” version of your journey is what connects you to the person who needs you. Because they’re in a version of that story right now and they need to see someone who came through it.

This is what I’ve only recently become truly comfortable sharing publicly. And Sarah was right when she said — the lessons you can share with people will potentially save them years of trial and error. That is service. That is visibility in its most useful form.

PR Without a Budget — Yes, Really

Here’s where Sarah busted a myth I know a lot of soulpreneurs carry:

PR doesn’t require a big budget. It doesn’t require a media agency. It doesn’t require anything except about 15 minutes a week and a willingness to pitch.

A platform like Source Bottle — a website where journalists post story requests and you can pitch your expertise — is free or around five dollars a month for premium access. Sarah’s worked with it for years. I actually used it back in 2012 and landed an article in Take Five Magazine with the pitch “I healed a serial killer.” A journalist’s dream headline if there ever was one.

The point is — there are journalists actively looking for experts in your field right now. They need stories. You have stories. The gap between those two things is just the willingness to show up and pitch.

Backlinks from articles and media mentions also do something else quietly powerful — they build your authority in the eyes of search engines and increasingly in the eyes of AI tools. Which brings us to the piece of this conversation that genuinely surprised even me.

The Visibility Frontier Nobody Is Talking About — GEO and AEO

I’ll be honest — when Sarah mentioned GEO and AEO I had to ask her to explain. I’m a power user of ChatGPT and Claude and it hadn’t even occurred to me to think about how those platforms find and recommend practitioners like us.

Here’s the short version:

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is how Google ranks your website and finds you in traditional search. Most of us have at least heard of this even if we haven’t fully implemented it.

GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) are the new layer — how AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity find and recommend you when someone types “I need a psychic medium in Sydney” or “find me a spiritual business coach.”

If you’re not optimised for these platforms, you’re invisible to a growing number of people who are searching for exactly what you offer — just not on Google anymore.

And here’s Sarah’s practical tip that you can do this week for free:

Set up a Bing Business Profile.

Yes, Bing. Because ChatGPT pulls a significant amount of its information from Bing’s index. You can transfer your Google Business Profile across in about five minutes. It doesn’t require technical expertise. And it immediately improves your chances of being found when someone searches for you through AI.

Why Local and Face to Face Still Matters More Than Ever

In a world increasingly obsessed with online reach, Sarah made the case for something I believe in deeply as a soulpreneur — local community and face to face connection.

Your genius zone is specific. Your messaging needs to be specific. And the more specific you are, the more visible you become to exactly the right people — not everyone, the right ones.

Just be you. No need to market. Just be you.

Simple, right?

Except it turns out that “just be you” is one of the most confronting pieces of guidance a person can receive. Because being fully, unapologetically, visibly you — especially when you is a psychic medium who talks to Spirit, reads energy, and sees what others don’t — requires a level of openness and vulnerability that I don’t think we talk about honestly enough.

So that’s what this is. Me peeling back the curtain. Not from a place of having figured it all out, but from 25+ years of showing up, trying, getting frustrated, receiving the same message from Spirit, and slowly — finally — beginning to understand what it actually means.

The Lie We’ve All Been Told

We are told consistency is the key to visibility.

Post every day. Show up on stories. Be everywhere. Stay consistent and the algorithm will reward you, the clients will come, the business will grow.

And I want to be honest with you: I believed it. I tried it. And for years I showed up — consistently, repeatedly, with genuine heart — and watched it not translate into the business growth I knew I was capable of.

That’s a particular kind of frustration. Not the frustration of someone who hasn’t tried. The frustration of someone who has done the thing they were told to do and is still sitting with the same result.

Because here’s what nobody tells you: consistency is an oversimplification. If showing up was all it took, most of us would be far more successful than we are right now.

The Game We’re Actually Playing

Here’s something that doesn’t get named clearly enough: soulpreneurs are playing a visibility game that was never designed for us.

Selling candles doesn’t require you to crack your chest open every time you show up online. Digital products don’t demand that you make yourself vulnerable in order for someone to see their value.

But a spiritual mentor? A psychic? A medium? A healer?

We are asking people to trust us with the most tender, most sacred, most private parts of their inner world. And the only way to earn that trust is to go first. To open up. To be seen in the fullest, most honest version of who we are.

That is a completely different level of vulnerability. It takes courage. It takes commitment. And it asks something of us that most visibility advice doesn’t even acknowledge — let alone prepare us for.

And if I’m being really honest: I think I could have done better with this.

Not because I wasn’t showing up. But because being open and vulnerable enough to let people truly in — that has been the real challenge. Not the posting schedule. Not the platform. Not the strategy.

The willingness to be fully seen, especially when it came to my business.

What Spirit Was Actually Saying

Just be you.

For years I heard that and translated it as: show up, be authentic, don’t overthink it.

But I’m understanding now that it was never about content strategy at all. It was an invitation to stop performing a version of myself that felt safe enough to put online — and start being the actual version. The one with 30 years of wisdom. The one who hears Spirit clearly and isn’t afraid to say so. The one who has walked through her own fire and come out knowing things she couldn’t have known any other way.

The message wasn’t post more. It was hide less.

And hiding less? That’s not a marketing fix. That’s inner work. That’s safety work. That’s understanding why being fully visible has felt dangerous — consciously or not — and doing something about it at the root.

The Work Isn’t Becoming More Visible

It’s becoming safe enough to be seen.

That’s the shift I’m making. That’s what I’m inviting you into this month. Not another content plan. Not another push to be on more platforms. But an honest look at what’s actually in the way of you showing up as the fullest, truest, most unapologetic version of who you are.

Because that version? That’s the one people have been waiting for.

What This Means for Your Spiritual Business in July

The word coming through most strongly for July is expansion.

But here’s what Spirit is actually asking — how far do you want to go?

This is the month to sit down and genuinely visualise your next six months. Not in a vague, hopeful way — in detail. Because what you create in your creative dimension now is what begins dropping into your physical reality in August. July is the grounding month. August is when you start seeing results.

So keep going. Even when the results feel slow. Even when the doubt creeps in — and it will, because that’s what happens when the soul moves out of its comfort zone. Doubt is not a sign you’re doing it wrong. It’s a sign you’re expanding.

What July is asking of you:

Bring more you into everything you’re doing. Not new things — the things you’re already doing, but with more of yourself in them. More authenticity. More depth. More willingness to show up without the marketing hook or the scripted angle.

Ground your new routines. Ground your new connections. Settle into the expanded version of who you’re becoming before August asks you to deliver results from it.

What’s Happening on the World Stage

There’s still a tug of war in the collective energy — the global tension that’s been with us all year hasn’t fully resolved. But there’s been a level of peace achieved underneath the noise that we didn’t have in the first quarter of this year. Energetically, things are quieter than they appear on the surface.

What this means for soulpreneurs — stay in your lane. The work you’re here to do is part of the solution. Bringing more of the divine feminine — that sense of service, connection, and humanity — through your business and your gifts is a direct contribution to the collective healing that’s needed right now.

This is not the month to hold back. July sets the tone for the rest of the year.

The Balance Between Trust and Results

One of the things that came up in this episode that I want to sit with you for a moment —

The spiritual space doesn’t always set us up to trust ourselves. We’re taught to trust our guides, our angels, our connections to Spirit — and those relationships are real and valuable. But somewhere along the way, many of us learned to place all of our wisdom out there rather than recognising that our higher self isn’t separate from us. It is us.

Building that self-trust — that knowing that you are a creative being, that you are Spirit in form, that your wisdom is as valid as any guide’s — is what starts closing the gap between what you’re asking for and what you’re actually receiving.

You’re not in charge of the results. But results will come. And the more you operate from the knowing that you are genuinely creating in the energetic field before anything becomes physical, the faster that gap closes.

About fifteen to eighteen years ago I ran inSpirit Magazine, alongside the Australian College of Mediumship. We interviewed people who were genuine inspirations to all of us in this space — John Edward, Tony Stockwell, David Wells, John Holland, Sonia Choquette, Peggy McColl.

We had so much fun with that magazine.

But if I’m honest with you — it did more to build confidence in the writers on my team than it ever did to grow readership. Eventually it became a drag on my wallet and a drag on my soul. So I let it go.

Spirit never let it go though. Every few years there’d be a knock on that door again, and every time I’d resist — because I’d become hyper aware of the workload, the return on investment, the cost to my nervous system of building something that drained more than it gave.

I don’t follow ideas with blind faith anymore. I question things now. I’m in partnership with Spirit, not just taking instruction from it. And in my own roundabout way, I kept saying — it needs to be the right set of circumstances.

Then I discovered Substack.

And the peace that came with it genuinely surprised me.

Why this exists

Here’s the gap I see in business coaching for people like us.

Most of what’s out there is mindset and strategy. And if you’re someone who operates from a deep soul-level place — which I imagine you are, if you’re here — mindset and strategy alone were never going to be enough. It’s rare to find a business coach who actually factors in the soul piece. Who understands that the practicalities of running a business matter exactly as much as the spiritual reality underneath them.

That’s what Sacred & Sassy Soulpreneur is. Soul meets strategy. The witch wound and the content calendar. The fear of being seen and the actual confidence-building tactics. Honouring our doubts as much as asking what we’re posting this week.

I went to Melbourne for a few days. Away from the business. No content to make, no client to chase, no offer to tweak. And something let go.

In taking time away there has been a letting go.

A letting go of expending energy in service. Energy that often went nowhere.

Energy that was trying too hard — overgiving, exhausting me and leaving little for what I really need. What I really love & enjoy.

And little from which to truly build a business.

As I let go, I feel stillness.

A stillness that expands the breadth of who I am.

A stillness that allows the Universe to meet me, as I show up in ways that fill my cup.

As I no longer seek to fill the cup of others, first.

This feels very grounding.

Quiet in the stillness.

Peace.

The pattern underneath it

Here’s the background, because I don’t think this is just my story.

The energy I brought to my business was often one of energy going out — trying to support others before supporting myself. At the heart of that was me feeling unsafe with money.

It showed up in the constant grind of content creation. Where was my next client going to come from. Showing up, creating trainings and offers that people don’t really want. Exhausting me and going around in circles. Apparently, this felt like entanglement in my energy.

If you’re a soulpreneur reading this, I want to ask you something honestly: how many pots do you have your hands in right now?

The next psychic fair. The next launch. The next platform you “should” be on. The next offer because the last one didn’t quite land. I see this everywhere in our industry, and I lived it for years myself. It looks like momentum. It feels like productivity. But it’s often just energy spread so thin across so many things that nothing ever gets to actually land — for you or for the people you’re meant to reach.

That scattering isn’t a strategy problem. It’s a safety problem, and most of us would rather build ten offers than sit still long enough to feel that.

Because if you stop. If you actually stop — no fair to prep for, no launch to chase, no new thing to build — you have to find out if you’re enough without the doing. That’s the part nobody puts in the marketing. The grind isn’t really about clients or income. It’s about staying busy enough that you never have to ask yourself that question. Fear wearing a business outfit, doing a very convincing impression of ambition.

What’s shifted

Taking this time out, and with where I’m at, I’ve been able to let go. Now I feel like I can truly be creative. Give myself the space for that, with clearer energy that people can actually lean into.

Substack is helping with that, from the creative and writing perspective. I’m not sure how that translates into business growth — but let’s hope it’s where I need to be.

What I do know is this: the stillness isn’t the absence of building a business. It’s what makes building one sustainable instead of exhausting. Fewer pots, more depth. Energy people can actually feel, rather than energy that’s been depleted ten ways before it ever reaches them.

Twenty years of this.

I want to tell you something I’ve never quite said this plainly before.

I have been a psychic medium for over 25 years. I founded the Australian College of Mediumship. I ran inSpirit Magazine for seven years, interviewing some of the world’s most respected spiritual teachers — John Edward, Tony Stockwell, John Holland, Sonia Choquette, Peggy McColl. I published two books. I channelled my first oracle deck in 2005 — and after a thirteen year journey with an artist who didn’t deliver, I finally published it myself.

By any measure, I have been doing the work.

And for most of those twenty years, the business never quite reached what I knew it was capable of. The college closed. The magazine drained me dry. The income never matched the depth of what I was offering. I worked part time jobs to pay the bills — and I won’t dress that up — that was out of alignment in a way that created exhaustion, stifled my creativity, and quietly strangled my ability to grow.

You cannot build something expansive when you’re running on empty.

The thing nobody tells you about being Spirit-led.

Here’s what I’ve observed after two and a half decades in this space.

The spiritual industry is very good at talking about alignment, abundance, and following your calling. It is considerably less honest about what it actually feels like when you’re doing all of that and still not making it work financially.

There’s a performance of success that runs through this world — the launches, the testimonials, the carefully curated evidence that it’s all flowing. And underneath that performance, I know — because I see in my work, in my connections with others — that so many spiritual practitioners are exhausted, confused, and privately wondering if there’s something fundamentally wrong with them.

There isn’t. But there is something worth looking at.

For me, it was this: I was growing personally at a profound rate while the business stayed stuck. My healing deepened. My gifts expanded. My understanding of Spirit became richer and more refined than I could have imagined twenty years ago.

But the business? Looping. The same patterns. The same ceiling. The same shiny objects dressed in different clothing.

And working part time to cover the gap wasn’t just financially uncomfortable — it was energetically incompatible with what I was trying to build. That split energy, that constant compromise, has a cost that goes beyond the bank account.

Something is shifting. And it started with a new moon.

This is being written during a New Moon in Gemini — my moon sign, sitting in my third house. The house of communication, of words, of the stories we tell and the ones we finally stop telling.

I am also, right now, in my 2nd Saturn return with my North Node in Aries — my rising sign. If you know astrology, you’ll understand the weight of that. Saturn return asks you to grow up. To stop circling and start committing. To build something real on solid foundations. North Node in Aries asks you to stop waiting for permission and lead.

The universe is not subtle.

So I’m making a change. A real one. Not a rebrand. Not a new offer. Not another strategy.

I’m stepping off the content hamster wheel. I’m writing a book — The Mystic’s Way — because that is the work that is most alive in me right now and it deserves my full presence. I’m doing fewer things and doing them with more depth. I’m building this publication — Sacred & Sassy Soulpreneur — because twenty years ago I started inSpirit Magazine with the same vision and the infrastructure didn’t exist to hold it. Now it does.

And I discovered Substack.

I’ll be honest — I wasn’t expecting what I found here. It feels calm. Considered. Like a space where something can actually breathe and be seen rather than disappear into an algorithm that was never designed for this kind of work.

That feeling of calm? After years of the marketing noose tightening — that alone told me something.

What this publication is here to do.

Sacred & Sassy Soulpreneur exists for the spiritual creative who is done playing small but hasn’t quite figured out why playing bigger keeps stalling.

It’s for the healer, the coach, the medium, the author, the deck creator — anyone whose gifts are real and whose business hasn’t caught up yet.

We will talk about the things the spiritual industry keeps polished and quiet. The failed launches. The income gaps. The exhaustion of performing abundance while privately wondering if this is ever going to work. The gap between your spiritual depth and your bank account. The difference between following guidance and avoiding action.

You may not know this about me, but about 18 years ago I started a magazine called inSpirit Magazine — born from Spirit guiding me to create opportunities for myself and others to write.

Over the years we had fun. We met incredible people, interviewed some of our favourite mediums and spiritual teachers — John Edward, Tony Stockwell, John Holland, Sonia Choquette, Peggy McColl — and supported a small team of writers to become authors in their own right. We forged some lifelong friendships along the way.

But inSpirit never had the growth I desired for it. And after seven years it became an emotional and financial drain. So I closed it down.

What I didn’t close down was the vision.

Since then, as I’ve grown and matured in business and life has shifted, Spirit has circled back to this idea every few years. And every time, I’ve resisted. Fearful of the workload. Carrying the expectation of little return based on past experience — even though I know full well not to hold onto that kind of story.

What I realise now is that my resistance wasn’t just fear. It was also me saying to Spirit:

“When the circumstances are better suited, please.”

And then along came Substack.

A platform designed for the writer. A space where I can take genuine pleasure in sharing my journey and wisdom through the art of the written word. Where I can gather a community that will actually see what I’m putting out — not have it swallowed by some algorithm that decides my reach for me.

The circumstances got better suited. So here we are.
